Megaflo Descaling
Thankfully, Megaflo cylinders are highly resistant to scale, due to the very high quality of stainless steel used in the product.
However, if the thermostats are set too high, huge amounts of scale can build up, and severely impair the efficiency of the appliance.
It can cause reduced pressure and flow, damaged immersions, and cause overheating and fusing of electrical components.
We have devised an ingenious method of carrying out ‘keyhole surgery’ to remove and clean the inside of your Megaflo, virtually back to ‘as new’. We do not use harmful chemicals, or active cleansing agents.
Megaflo Descaling Procedure
The descaling process can sometimes be time consuming, and occasionally a bit messy.
However.. Once the process is complete, the cylinder itself is as good as new. If the thermostats are left at reasonable settings, it should be years before the process needs repeating. You DO NOT need to replace the cylinder!
