Video Information, Help, Advice for Heatrae Sadia Megaflo and Santon Unvented Hot Water Systems.

Here you will find several videos concerning Megaflo cylinders, and various problems, and faults that occur.

Generally, certainly from my own experiences over the past 7 years, at least 50% of installations are incorrect, or have been in installed in such a manner they are unserviceable. This is due to poor workmanship, and a lack of basic plumbing knowledge and experience.
In many cases, the property owners have been misinformed, or blatantly misled due to a lack of skills and knowledge.
The Heatrae Sadia Megaflo is a quality product, and has a long life expectancy. It's 'highly unlikely' the cylinder will need replacing for at least 25 years or more. (if well maintained).

Low hot water pressure or flow:

If you find the pressure or flow has slowly decreased over the last few months, or the pressure fades away shortly after opening an outlet, then the problem is most likely with the Cold Water Combination Valve (CWCV).

We used to service repair these valves, but they proved to be too unreliable shortly afterwards.
From experience, we now only replace these valves when faulty.

This video explains more concerning this process.
